General Information

• Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is 1:00 p.m.

• All guests must register at the office, indicate the number of nights they plan to stay, and obtain a vehicle pass.

• Each of our units has a fully equipped kitchen including a microwave and dishwasher.

• There are washers and dryers in all units except Log Cabin and Duffy’s.

• Barbeque grills are supplied but please bring charcoal if you plan to use them (a limited supply of charcoal is for sale at the office).

• We supply linens and towels.  You may wish to bring beach towels for use in units with hot tubs and when using the pool in the summer months.

• We have high chairs, cribs, and rollaway beds.  Call ahead and we will have them in your unit.

• You will find a complimentary bag of ice in your unit when you arrive and ice is for sale in the office.

• In an effort to better serve our customers, Barothy Lodge has entered into an agreement with Baldwin Canoe Rental.  As a result, we can now offer:  1,2,3,4 hour trips and longer, single and tandem kayaks,  river rafts (6 person), and discounts for Barothy Guests.  Feel free to contact Baldwin Canoe Rental directly at 1-800-272-3642.  If you prefer, you may direct questions to Barothy Lodge at 231-898-2340.

• Due to the Michigan weather and traditionally cool nights, our lodges are not equipped with air conditioning.  Fans are available on request or you may bring your own.

• In order to promote a “back to nature” atmosphere, the buildings do not have televisions, radios, or telephones.  However, there is a pay phone located next to the pool.

• Although we realize that pets are often considered part of the family, Barothy Lodge is in a rather wild setting and therefore has a lot of wildlife on site.  As a result, we have a no pet policy.

• Because Barothy Lodge is located in the woods and fire danger is often a concern, we have a no campfires and no fireworks policy.

• Although there is NO HUNTING on Barothy property, cased and unloaded guns can be transported from your vehicle to the lodge.

• Lodge policy states that we are not responsible for items left behind.  Please check carefully for all belongings prior to leaving on your departure date.  Items left behind may be packaged and shipped, but at the owner’s expense.
